New and need some help

Hey everyone, I am new to the site but have been reading the forums for quite some time. I have always owned a dodge (please don't hate me) but am thinking about purchasing a Ford. I am looking at a 2004 f250 xlt superduty fx4. My questions are is this a good truck to buy, it has about 75,000 miles on it. I am skeptical about the 6.0 engine and am interested what you guys have gotten for fuel mileage in that truck. Any response is appreciated and i hope i can contribute to this forum down the road

thanks
ryan

Hey Everybody, Welcome to FTE! Great to have you all here. Ryan, drop down to the 6.0 forum and do some reading. Also check out the tech folder in the SD forum. For the MPG question, I average 15-17 in mixed driving and the best I've done on an extended trip was 21.7.

Intro

Just purchased a 99 F350 and used the forum to help me decide. My first F350, a 95 with the 460, gave me 100,000 trouble free miles. Hopefully the 99 will be even better, seems like the chances are good based upon what I have read here. Thanks for the forum...Greg

Hello

I just bought a new to me 2002 F350 CC SB. I've been in the 80-96 F150 forum with my 1986 150 4x4. I'm ready for towing my boat all summer.

New to the forum, but not new to fords. Drive a 2004 F250 Super Duty with a 6" lift and 35" nitto mud grappler tires and 20" KMC rockstars. And drive a 2002 F550 Flat Bed on a daily basis for work. Love 'em.

I completely forgot to introduce myself!

Pics of when I brought it home.

Hi,
I am new to the site, and like all the usfull information. I recently purchased a 2005 F250 with the 6.0 diesel, and this is my first diesel. So far I love this truck. I have been a Ford man ever since I started driving and my first truck was a 1982 F100 with 300,00 mile on it and I ended up puting another 200,000 on it myself. I just traded in my Mazda/Ford ranger in for the F250. From what I have been reading about the 6.0 diesel I just hope I don't get left with a bad tast in my mouth.

Newb Here

Hi all, just wanted to drop in and say hi.

I'm in the process of trading in my 05 F150 SC for an 08 F250 CrewCab FX4 V10. It has the 20" wheels, Nav, Rear DVD, Leather, Sirus etc. I've always owned Ford Trucks and Vans and this will make my 3rd f series. I can't wait to pick it up this week.

I'm also looling forward to learning more about the SD's and the V10 motors and what Mods will best suit me and my truck. I'm currently looking into a Banks or Magnaflow Catback and either a k&N filter or a CAI. Also looking to add an AAL for the rear and a slight lift in the front.

So i hope to gain some info and share some info. I'll post pics when i pick the big boy up.
