Movin' on up!!

Hello all.
I've been on the site for a while over in the F150 forums, but I recently made the giant leap from my '02 FX4 F150 to a recently acquired '07 FX4 F350, crew cab, long box, single rear wheel with the 6.0. Just had a Ford Tech run the vin# to check for recalls or warranty issues and it's only ever had 1 bad injector fixed back in late '07 and has a clean bill of health. I needed to get the bad boy because my work requires me to spend 3 nights/4 days a week away from home and hotels and apartment rates where I work are retarded, so I decided to get a slide-in camper and just 'rough' it for the summer. So far I'm loving this truck, the added range of the BIG gas tank is awesome and the stump pulling power is impressive. I've heard some scarey things about the Navistar engines but apparently those were taken care of by the end of '04. As usual I'm happy to be here on FTE and I'm looking forward to picking the brains of the experienced coffee grinder owners. (dang these things are noisy when cold)
Cheers,
Tink.

Hi, My name is Donnie Goins age 58. I'm new to this.
I have to say I'm amazed that I can ask a question on the net and so many people are ready to jump in with help to your problem.

Thanks to all

Now let me say this is my third F250

First was a 2000 F250 4x4 extended cab 7.3 --- wish I still had
Second was a 2004 F250 4x4 crew cab 6.0 ---- wish I had never bought
Third is a 2008 F250 4x4 crew cab 6.4 --------- This has to be the best truck

All three trucks were black. When I would go to work and tell everone about my new truck. They would go out side and look. Then they would look at me and laugh and say It looks just like the one you traded.

Anyway thanks to everyone out there for helping with the problems and answers.

FORD F250 FOREVER

First Post

Hey everyone, this would be my first post on this forum, although I did post on the 2008/2009 6.4L forum this morning. I have never posted on any forums until today. I've owned multiple Fords in the past, but just recently purchased a new 2008 F250 XL Super Cab 4X4 6.4L Diesel. This is my first diesel, hope it seves me well. I am and have been a Ford enthusiast all my life. So far I've found this forum full of useful information. Glad to be here!

Want Diesel Truck with best engine and fuel mileage

Son just total '98 Town car. He is fine. Will receive payoff from Insurance and I am going to buy a real truck this time. Commute to work is forty miles round trip on US 183 between Leander and Austin. Have '02 TC wife drives to work. Car pool in the morning, get ride home with co-worker after stopping off at the Digs Pub to pull a few handles of IPA. Truck is not practical due to fuel mileage. However, this is the time. I have wanted an F250 4 door diesel since seeing the new '98 model. Cannot go top dollar, but want to buy good decent truck between '98 and '05. Want diesel, 4 door, auto for the wife in case she ever needs to pack me off for medical treatment. Which year, engine, tranny (Limited), interior, amenities, whistles, bells, and all I might need. Will use to haul materials, trailer, cars, chain saws, wood, and so on. Son will use to go to school for total of 100-150 miles weekly of drive distance. Tell me what I am missing or talk me out of it...................Grump

Hi folks....just bought a 2007 F-350 crew cab, short box 6.0L diesel. I am from Seabeck, WA and a 20 year (not year old) Navy submariner. I am not new to car forums. I look forward to seeing what you guys have to offer and hopefully when I learn my "new" truck, I can offer up some info myself.

Wink

New here. Boy, you guys take your trucks seriously!

2000 F250 SD Crew Cab V10 with long bed. I replaced a Ram 1500 360 with this Ford. What a difference! I use the F250 for about 3000 miles a year towing my car hauler. I live in SE Michigan.
