Picked up my new hauler Thursday and already love it. It's not a fast as my Charger was but it will still get up and move for a 7K lb vehicle. 2005 F250 Lariat, 6.0L, auto, 82K, 4x4, FX4. Has the upfitter switches, integrated brake controller, and (as of today) satellite radio.
I've been looking around here for a couple of years and finally decided to join. I am recently retired from the military on 1 Sep and upgraded to a 08 F250 with the 5.4, and a 26ft fifth wheel Salem toy hauler. Looking forward to a calmer version of life. This is a great site and I'm glad to be part of it.
I am struggling trying to make up my mind on what to purchase. I have researched the F150 and the F250 and looking for more information. I tow a full size bass boat, but drive in a big city most of the time. I want a King Ranch and probably a new '08.
Thanks to all that provide the information and opinions, it helps a lot.
Yeah, I just picked up a 2004 F350 Dually, now can handle anything the wife can decide on (am shopping for a trailer, doesn't know if she wants a 5th, or regular travel trailer)

New Here also. I recently purchased a Nused 2000 F250 SD with the Powerstroke. I have already been using it for towing and totally love it! I have usually been a tried an true Bowtie owner but, when the dealer would not make me a better deal to purchase the Duramax, I bought this one from a friend's car lot. I am not disappointed either... I am also glad to be added to this group.
For all you diesel folks, don't forget we have a diesel section located farther down the main forum listing. There's a category for each type of Ford diesel, so be sure and stop by there. Lot's of good info on the diesel motors.

Not to mention, sections for the 5.4L and the V10. The 5.4L section is shared with the 4.6L, so if you have Superduty-specific questions/issues better off leaving those engine questions here in the SD forum.

New here, thanks for the great site. I drive a 2005 F250 V10 for work, drive a 2008 F350 DSL for play, and we have a Escape Hybrid for getting around. I use a F550 for most of my vol. fire dept. stuff, so I am quite the Ford fan. Thanks again.
Hi all! I have been lurking here for awhile also. I bought a 1999 F250 SD last fall with 167k. Using info and recommendations on this site I have replaced plugs and ball joints. (6.8l)
Truck is stock for now except for an Icon mini pack leveling kit and F350 rear blocks. Next up are some new (larger!) tires.
Thanks for all the help so far. I was a GM master tech for 8 years (don't hold it against me!) so I will return the information favor when I can.
Take care!
