Found this site while searching for some info on a recently acquired E450 MH with an ailing V10. Been around for 85 years now and owned many Fords, my favorite 1988 Bronco II 4x4. Used that mostly as a tow behind my other Ford Motor Homes and off-roading out west and patrolling the beaches at Hatteras. Thinking about making one last trip if I can get all the screws tightened up. Last owner wasn't much on maint.

add me to the long list of guys who now drive the f word.
'nother newb to the ford movement. was in the market for a used truck. I wanted something 3/4T or bigger but not a dually. found myslef looking around at the older trucks on the road and most of them were fords... so I started including them more in my quest. test drove a 2002 f250 4d 4x4 lb larry triton v10, loved the smooth ride on the road. so below is the truck I 'just' got. Has a few issues and I am adding to them everytime I drive it; things got so bad that I need a bed now.

1988 f-150 starter and solenoid nightmare
I purchased this old beast off the scrap heap, had to address many problems but this was the most difficult to diagnose. On occasion when starting, the starter would continue to crank. I would have to disconnect the battery to stop
the starter. After the battery was re-connected, things would be right for awhile, but eventually the same thing would happen all over again!
Finally after much head scratching, I discovered the cable to the starter was shorting out on a crimp clamp that held the cable down below. After the starter
cable was replaced and secured without being grounded, things seem to be working properly. This diagnosis only took 3 solenoids and 2 starters

New Ford convert
Hey folks!
Just bought a 15 F250 Lariat 4x4 6.2L gas.
I traded a 14 GMC Sierra 1500. The GMC was nice, but they've got some product deficiencies, and after 4 trips back to the dealer for warranty work and recalls, decided I had seen enough.
Just found this site, and I hope to gain some valuable knowledge.
