Hello. I am new to this site. I'll be looking for a lot of new information as I've just purchased a 2004 F350 6.0 Super Crew. I'm not sure if this is how to make new posts. Could someone let me know if not? I'm initially looking for advice on a good set of manuals to purchase as I try to do my own maintenance. Are there options other than the Ford factory manuals? Thanks!

Hello to all, I ma also new to this site. I am a first time diesel owner after see my father with a Duramax for almost 10 years and salivating long enough. Purchased a PS last August with ridiculously low mileage on it. I absolutely love this truck [currently] LOL. I am aware of some of the problems with it and I was fortunate to purchase an extended bumper to bumper warranty till the first 100,000. I have accessed this site quite regularly and find it very resourceful for my needs. I plan on doing some upgrades down the road once my warranty goes out and I have the 5 GRAND to do it. If I ask a stupid question, please forgive. Thanks for your time

Good Morning, I was happy to find this as I am a new OLDER truck owner, and want to find people who can help me.

I have a 1984 Ford F250 diesel, manual 4 speed transmission

 

This is a great site. Love to read the info from all of the guys who know what they are talking about....most of the time. I bought an old 2001 F250 4x4 with V10. Almost 200k miles now. Mostly only use it for hauling camping trailer or work around the farm.

 

just bought a used 1999 ps. There are a few things that need to be done to it but it only had 140k so I hope i dont end up putting to much money in it.

 

Picked up a '99 F250 SD extended cab with the V10 on Monday. Truck is very clean, just over 128xxx miles. It's exactly what I was after in terms of a truck- 3/4 ton, 4x4, Manual transfer case w/ man. hubs, extended cab. Lift and 315x75's were a bonus. Only downside was the automatic trans. but it's growing on me fast. So far, it needs a muffler, as it's got a hole in it. And I just replaced all the ball joints - thank god I work at O'reillys. Stumbled across the website trying to figure out how to get the infamous 'Door Ajar' light to go out. Kudos guys.
I've been in the automotive thing for about 10 years, mostly experienced with 80's and 90's turbo dodges. Also have a '95 F-350 crew cab 4x4 5 spd. with the 460. It's finally getting a new motor after 286xxx faithful miles. <--this is why i'm a Ford man now.

Anyways, that's my story. I guess this is where I'll post my pic.

I hope I'm doing this right. I am a new member and love my truck and working on her. I have owned my super duty 250 for about a year. I do all my own maintenance and work that needs done. I am still learned and appreciate advice from anyone that helps. I haven't done a lot to change my truck but I have some plans for the future. I thank you in advance for your help and advice.
