NEW MEMBER Introduction Thread (NO TECH QUESTIONS)
Purchased my first Bronco in Cali.
Hey y'all,
I just purchased my first bronco it is a 1980 with a 302 and the last person who had it really didn't know what they were doing. They messed it up a little and I got it cheap, because it didn't run. Took me all of about a half an hour and now she runs well.
Plans to paint and fix her up nice. She will make a great 4X4 and hunting vehicle.

1967 F250 4x4 Hi-Boy
Hello, I'm new here. I just purchased a sweet 1967 F250 4x4 Hi-Boy and I'll take any suggestions to get info here in the forums on my new truck.
I have some questions.
1 - It definitely goes into 4L and 4H, but I can't seem to figure out if it's going into 2WD. I'm going to have someone look underneath the truck as I switch back and forth, but I'd love any thoughts.
2 - It has a PTO Winch on the front and I can't seem to figure out how to get it to work. Any suggestions?

As the title of this thread suggests, tech questions aren't answered here as this is strictly a new member intro thread.

Hey there Curioduo. I'm pretty new here myself and I'm still trying to figure out the site and all. Anyway. concerning your 2wd issue, something you might try is to jack up the rear end till your rear tires are off the ground and then put the truck into 2wd and ease it into gear. I tried this very thing myself not long ago as I had a bit of an issue with my Ranger going into 4wd. Just be careful you don't hit the gas hard in case the truck doesn't go into 2wd. Now as far as your P.T.O. issue? If it's the same as this old dump truck that I used to drive then you will have to put your truck into neutral to get the P.T.O. to engage. Some trucks won't allow the P.T.O. to engage if you're in gear. Best of luck to you and post up some pics of your ride if you've got any. I'd love to see your truck.

That 95 F350 is a nice rig all right. Plenty tough too. You have the 7.3 or maybe the 6.9 diesel in it or are you running a gas engine? Me personally, I really like the the diesels myself. I had a 2004 Silverado till last year that had the 6.6 Duramax diesel. Great motor and man did that bugger have some power! I installed a Bully Dog programmer in it and after that I could burn the dually tires on it! Woohoo!!!
I didn't know that Mercury made a truck. Nice looking rig there dcavan001! I know I for one would sure be proud to own something like that. Right now I'm in the process of restoring a 41 Chevy Special Deluxe but man is it rough! All the floor boards are rotted and it is in need of a total restoration.
Hello all, I own a small automotive repair shop, I literally was born & raised in the automotive world 3rd generation! I have been restoring a 1979 Ford F150 that originally came with a 302/5.0 engine which I removed and installed a '78 351W. Being my background I mainly started building this truck, frame up restoration, but while building it I had a close friend bring in a '69 429 DOVE Heads engine in for me to set up/build for him.
He told me what he wanted, around 600HP and still be able to run off pump gas so I did just that. Well, while setting his engine up he kind of challenged me that there was NO WAY a small block would out run a big block. I know, the classic duel/question. Any way, I set out to show him just what could be accomplished with the 351W engine that I had just laying around my shop.
