NEW MEMBER Introduction Thread (NO TECH QUESTIONS)
Just purchased a 66 F250 Camper Special Custom Cab long bed. 352, 4 spd. Looking to put a 460 possibly C6. Want to install a side tank and rear tank and remove cab tank. Like to know does the 73 side tank fits the 66 body? This truck at one time had saddle tanks which have been removed. This truck is going to pull my FIA 289 Cobra replica I am build for open track for Sonoma Raceway/ Laguna Seca/ Thunder Hill..... Looking to build a good low end torque motor.... If there are any good recomendations like to hear them. New to building old trucks. Last truck was a 95 F250 460. My experience is in building Vintage Mustangs for open track.... Thanks again and looking forward to this build..
Hi All,
I am new to the site! I have a 81 F350 dually flat bed. It's an old farm truck with a hidden gem. 400 Cleveland big block. The truck only as 34,000 original miles and the engine runs like new! I'm torn between selling it and restoring it into a true pickup. I understand a bed would need to be modified? Maybe create an 81 big block Ford Rapture?
Any suggestions or thoughts would be appreciated.

Hello
I have a 1972 Ford F100 390ci 2v.
Awesome truck learned to drive in it about 30 yrs ago. Doesn't have the same power as I remember as a kid. I recently bought a 2v rebuilt carb from O'reillys powers back but there's a slight hesitation at starts. It's worse when it's cold, but I've set the timing and mixture and idle. Not sure what else to do? Hope you all can help. Thanks Joey.

Happy 4th to All- New guy Max here. I recently acquired a 2000 F250 SC and having been without a FORD for way too many years decided this forum would probably help me through some new experiences. I am too old to wrench much so anything you all can suggest will be greatly appreciated. BTW: having had knee replacement this old truck offers a lot more entry room then any car / SUV I have owned!

Happy to be aboard, looking forward to being involved. Have a 72 Ford F250 Ranger XLT Camper Special that was bought new by my late father in law in March 1972 from Crater Lake Ford in Medford, OR. Has 390 & C6 3.73 1 ton rear. He was an old trucker so it has bus lights, spot lights, lighted running boards & an air horn. Now has 119k on the odometer & clear plastic on original seats, original interior & paint. TLC on old wiring issues & having the dealer installed under dash deluxe air rebuild next on the list. I have been retired on the civilian side for over a year and retired CG SCPO since the end of 2008. Looking forward to the forums.
