Hello Everyone,

I just bought my first truck and its a 1968 Ford F100! I have been researching everything I can think of about it and it has always lead me to this site so I figured I would join. I'm new to fixing my own car/truck I figured it was time to learn for myself and thought the truck would be a great place to start! Sorry if I bother anyone with a ridiculous amount of questions. Ill be sure to check the threads before I ask.

Here she is!

Introduction

Thank you for the welcome.

I am an old gal trying to make do with what I have... which is a pitiful income and a 1990 F250 6cyl (4.9L).

I do not care that it is rather ugly, heehee, but of course I do want it to function properly.

It is my hope that you, my fellow Ford Owners, will be able to guide me, toward that endeavor.

Seems like every time I have an issue I'm trying to resolve I end up on this site. So today I officially joined. I like how everyone is very helpful and respectful. A lot of other sites are full of cocky *** holes who mock others if they don't know something. So please keep up the great hospitality!

Hi folks, lurked here a lot; had a question a few days ago so tried to register, took so many go arounds that I forgot the question.
Owned and worked on Fords since 1965, first '49 F1 V8 3spd on floor; current; '85 F250 4x4 351W C6
I'm here now and I guess the question will come back to me eventually.

Just joined this week. I have an '84 F150 I6 4.9 300 step side of a little over 2 years. I have been combing this site for info & insight for the last couple of years.
I probably would have sold my truck if not for this site, due to the fact that I have had a hard time finding anyone in my area that knows how to work on a 30 year old truck.
I am in the process of getting all the parts together for a DSII conversion.
Again, thanks for the help in the past.
Vic

New to the whole diesel thing. I've been my own mechanic my whole life. From a '67 VW Fastback to an '87 300Z and '93 Eclipse. Figures I'd marry a girl with a diesel Ford. Sooo, I may not be much help to anyone here right away, but I learn fast, I aced the mechanical and electrical sections on the ASVAB, and whatever I learn I'll be happy to share. Looking forward to swapping some grease stories!

Hello all I just joined because I bought a 2000 f250 7.3 4x4. It got 130000 miles on it. This is my first truck. It has a headache rack and a tool box now. I am going to drive it for work and fun. I have been looking at this site for a bit to see what to expect from her and it has been useful. Thanks

New to this site and to Ford

Hello everyone, I've been a Chevy guy all my life but I got a job at Ford last year so no I'm a Ford and Chevy guy. I recently bought my neighbors truck which is an 09 F250 Super Duty FX4 with the 3 Valve V10. It's got 4:10 gears and loves gas. It does not have the 2 piece spark plugs in it, rather the redesigned single piece that took effect in mid-08 I believe. I've installed a Banks Monster Exhaust, custom y-pipe with no cats, 5Star Tuned, fresh plug change and a full tank of ethenol free premium. The truck runs like a champ and drives really nice, I love having a solid front axle after years of owning IFS trucks. I did alot of research on the modular v10 on this site before buying the truck and am excited to be a part of this forum now!

03 6.0L

03 6.0 liter only owner. Had good luck with it and never had any issues for 200,000 miles. Except for 3 alternators. Now 230,000 miles have replaced 5 injectors, oil cooler, EGR delete, new Turbo, Bully Dog tuner, Hubs, etc. studs and rest of injectors are soon. But still love it. Love working on it. Except for first injector did all myself. Shop that did first injector said motor was trash and offered me $2500 for the truck. Took to a different shop for scan and second guy said it was the tightest 6.0 he had seen in a long time. And he makes a living of 6.0's.

Introduction

Name is Jeff. I've been a lurker here and elsewhere. We will be finalizing the purchase of a new to us 2002 Excursion. I tend to work on my junk when I can to save $$. I've owned a lot of vehicles in my lifetime. This is my first Ford. I also want to acquire a Crown Vic PI, as a play toy. I spray weeds for the railroad during the summer months and trim trees during winter, occasionally plowing snow if any would fall... My Ex has 272k, it's a limited model loaded pretty much up all the way. It's 4x4, and has a 7.3 Powerstroke engine. I'm gonna be asking tons of questions and doing even more reading. It's funny how we came across the truck, but so far everything has checked out during inspections and driving. I've spent years with Jeep Cherokees, and International Scouts. I look forwards to advice and wisdom of all on here before me, to help me make my truck better. Since I'm a new member I cannot post a picture/pictures, but once I get it to my place I'm gonna start a build thread. Thanks,

Jeff
