New here, not so new to fords
Hey all, I'm new to this forum, but not new to fords or forums in general. I've been lurking for the past few years but just decided to join yesterday.
I've got a 1990 f150 4.9l 5 speed 4x2 pretty much bone stock with 182,000 miles.
My dad has a 1995 f150 4.9l 5 speed 4x4, has an add a leaf and moog 844 coils and 31" tires pulling a landscape trailer. other than that it's bone stock. Over 200,000k on that unsure of exact mileage.
He also had a 1995 f150 302 auto 4x4 had 265k-ish on it before he let it go.
I was a Chevy fan until I learned about the 4.9 lol.

Hey Guys
Hey guys - I just picked up a 1952 F1 that needs some work, and it looks like this is the place to come!
About the truck:
She has a 302 out of a 1970 Torino, which sounds great and has some get-up-and-go, but the brakes and suspension are both the original manual ones and are pretty loose, so the stop and turn need to be upgraded (IFS swap is what got me here). After that, the body will need some work - pretty solid, but a PO made a few... customizations... including a hole in the roof for a CB and a custom bed (wood sides, steel bottom), and bucket seats mounted to a wooden block.
I'm looking forward to bringing it into the 21st century but keeping the classic look, and I hope we can help each other out moving forward.

Hello All
I've been cruising thru this forum for several years and it has helped me tackle every problem I've had so far with the exception of one. I posted it under the 87-96 f150 forum and all input would be greatly appreciated as its driving me crazy! Glad to be here amongst like minded ford lovers. Hope to get to know you all and pick a few brains.

Howdy!
Hello to you all and Happy New Year!
Just kinda stumbled in here and have been so happy/lucky with a 84 "Frankenstein" van that I bought some years ago... and many cross country journeys later, here I am. I am looking to sell or partner up as I live much of the year in Scandinavia. Please help me place a value on The Beast? The parts alone are probably worth much more off the van LOL Little quirky but She runs dependable always!
The Van:
Dealer purchased, new off the showroom floor, 1984 Pathfinder conversion. (I am the second owner and the ol timer that bought it spared no expense on doing what he liked. Originally had a 6.9 but he owned a fleet of Ford trucks. When one of his workers burned up an engine, he gave that worker the 6.9 and placed a 1994 7.3 IDI Turbo from a truck, into this van. It MOVES!
Not to stop there, technical reasons, he was sold on upgrading to a Gear Venders OD unit. I know this was not cheap. Later, he drove all the way to Utah to change out the front axle to a solid one, so it would go straight like a freight train on the highway. The rear axle has reverse threads on the driver side, am told it is from a Chrysler... and that has caused headache when dad and I rotated tires the first time LOL
It has some kind of winch on the front bumper. ¤ swivel buckets and a drop down rear couch to bed. Rear A/C unit and had external power window units. Alpine 6 cd changer and some big amps and subs under the rear couch.
Needless to say, I saw what it was when I bought it in Sacramento CA from this original owner. I am told that the engine is very desirable in some circles as it is the last of the good ones.
I will post pictures and would like to post a sales ad as I get some idea of what it could be worth, based on your comments.
Thanks for reading and I would sell her with reluctance and actually prefer a partner or prepper who has some love to show her and let me run her to see Mom and Dad when I am in country.

FNG
Hello all,
FNG here, my place looks like a Ford parking lot, 2 trucks, an Explorer and a Taurus wagon, even my company car is a Ford.
Retired military, tinker with motorcycles (HD) and a beat up old F250 mud truck...aka RHSC (Red Headed Step Child).
Other truck is a 06 F350, Crew DRW long bed KR.

Hi! I don't own a Ford truck, but I do own a 1970 Ford Mustang and a small, home-based business that I use to make parts (like brake valve repair kits) for a number of different vehicles, including vintage Ford trucks. I'm hoping to learn more about the brake valves used on Ford trucks so that I can better serve this community of enthusiasts.

I always have just replaced the factory filter cartridge with a K&N. Usually see a small improvement in mileage and it doesnt hit the wallett near as hard. It would take a lot of fuel savings to offset the cost of a full system. If you are looking for a 10-15 hp boost however, go with an AFE or K&N full system. Plan on spending upwards of $300.

I just picked up an F350 XL SuperCrew Gasser. Love it! Pics to follow after the snowstorm......

New Ford owner
I decided in August to finally get a truck after owning cars and SUVs my entire life. I've always loved Ford trucks but never owned anything made by Ford. After 2 months of researching and looking I finally picked up a 2010 F-350 Lariat Crew Cab with the short bed 6.4l Powerstroke, bone stock.
Since then I have been almost an addict about reading up on the truck. Thankfully my wife is supportive of my new found hobby of wrenching and spending our hard earned money. I've never done anything more than a basic tune-up in a vehicle (without all this fancy computer stuff), so my experience is non-existent.
It has been nonstop reading and researching about this vehicle since I bought it in October. Since I got it I have put in a K&N cold air intake, aFe turbo back 4" dpf/cat/muffler delete straight pipe with a black 7" tip, H&S mini Maxx, a Sinister Diesel coolant filtration kit, and a Sinister Diesel EGR delete with intake elbow. All the work was done by me, which may not be a lot to many of you but for me it was definitely rewarding!
I have my list of to-do's all in order and will have to wait for the majority of it since I just spent a ton of money! Tomorrow I plan on doing a CCV mod to the atmosphere and a high idle on my number 4 upfitter. That will be it for at least a year. Hopefully but then I can tear down the motor and replace many parts that are prone to failure.
Thank you all so much, I have learned an incredible amount from here!
