New to the Forum
I purchased a fixer 1987 F-250 with a 460(7.5), Lariat, Ext Cab, C-6 Auto Tranny and Holly 4 Barrel 600 CFM Carb. I grew up loving our family fords, A 1979 Baby blue with a white line down the side trim area Ford Explorer F-100 inline 300 6 cylinder, with three on the tree (that i Jump so many time and have no idea how i didn't break it) and a 1974 F-250 390 V8 two tone dark blue and light blue.
Funny thing about the F-250 i just bought is that it had tons of junk in the back. I told him well what about the junk in the back, he laughed and said it comes with it lol. I drove it home loaded with trash and small treasures(3 cement bags, 1 large bag of tan grout, a small working vacuum, 2 set of gloves, 1 set of leather gloves, a lot of reusable wood, and the rest perfect for the bonfire scraps for this weekend.
I am looking forward to sharing picture of my project and picking everyone's brain and trouble shooting my problems.
My dream of a Ford fixer have come true. Any truck worth having is a truck worth fixing yourself

New Superduty Owner
Hello everyone! I am a Ford truck owner for almost thirty years. From my Ranger 4x4 to my current F250 Superduty. I just purchased my '14 F250 FX4 crewcab Lariat. It is blue jeans with pale adobe trim. I didn't realize that trucks could be so well equipped. The sticker was $64,600 and I got it for $51,189 before my trade. I traded in my '02 7.3 F350 XLT extended cab long bed 4x4. It only had 82k but had some cab and bed damage. I considered repairing it but the cost to fix it all was a juicy down payment on a new truck and still got 9k trade for it.
This truck is almost a completely different animal. I performed all the maintenance on my 350 but am a little apprehensive about this one. I does things that are a bit strange to say the least. I figured that this would be a good place to share experience and get some advice for those rock and hard place situations.
Even though my 350 was a little beat up, there wasn't any rust and still looked damn good with a fresh coat of wax! I've heard all about all the nightmares with previous diesel engines and am a little nervous about the 6.7! My 7.3 was a reliable workhorse and I hope that I just didn't make a big mistake!! My son and me had a nickname for it. We called it the "Man Truck"! lol. I bought it new and he grew up in that truck. He was a bit disappointed when he learned that I had traded it.
This new one is an impressive truck though! The ride is a considerable improvement and the power is just pure amazing!! I can't get enough windshield time. I love driving it!! If it proves to be as reliable as the 7.3 then I will be elated and very satisfied. I want it to be the last truck I ever "want" to buy!
I am open to any advice I can get for this new engine and I already have several questions to get started. I am looking forward to sharing experiences with everyone and getting to know others with my passion for Ford vehicles. Thanks to everyone and as soon as I figure it out, I will post some pics.

hello
Hi-
My name is Matt. I went to an auction to purchase a truck and I accidentally bought the wrong one. I have always had ford trucks and I thought my plan was bulletproof because they are so reliable. It was a gov surplus auction and there were 3 f350s up for sale and I got the items #'s confused.
After finding out what "all sales are final" means, I now have a truck that appears to have electrical problems.
Here is a picture of it.

Hello to all. I'm a new member from Des Moines, IA who owns an electric blue (purple if you ask anyone) 1995 F150 XLT Supercab 4x4 with the 5.8L engine and towing package. It had 161k miles when I got it. This is my second Ford truck, first was '71 F100 when I was in HS but my father ended up selling her . I have lurked on the site before for valuable information (still don't own a repair manual, they usually leave a lot to be desired), but recently decided to join when I had a question regarding a powering steering line. Thanks to a helpful forum member, my issue was quickly resolved. I already like it here and hope to contribute where I can.
