35 x 12.50 r 17 's ?
I have a 95 4x4 f150 with 32 x 11.50 r15. I am ordering a 6 inch skyjacker kit with radius arms. I wish to put 35 x 12.50 bfg muds on a 17 x 10 rim. I'm pretty sure the 17,s will fit- can i also enlarge my brake rotors to compensate for the weight of the tires? Thanks for any input.

i am almost positive bfgs dont come on a 17 inch rim. they do however come on a 16.5 in rim. i do not know why you would want to spend more money buying tires for these rims when they are much cheaper on a 15 inch rim. for a f150 i would go with 35x12.5's on a 15x10 inch rim. if you want a bigger rim go with a 16x10. you will start to get into the metric sizes ex. 285/75/R16 which is a 33x11.5. these are really expensive. with the 15x10 and 35x12.5 all you will need to do to improve braking IMO is to get stainless steel breaklines. going to a 16.5 inch rim seems to be a little heavy duty for a f150. do yourself a favor and just go with the 15 inch rim. you will save money. if you have any more questions just ask. by the way look at ryanhurls (i think thats his nickname) gallery. he has a 6 inch rim 35's on a 15x10 wheel. they look sweet.

thats cool i learned something new. first off i thought no way but than i double checked to make sure and i didnt see any. yep i was wrong about not making the tires, but im still standing by opinion about the unneccesary cost of the tires plus rims and the preferable rim for a f150.

35s on a 15 inch rim will be fine on your brakes. get some stainless steel brakelines and you will not even notice the tires. there is no reason for larger rotors. from stock to my 32's on 10 inch rims i felt only a little difference in baking ability. replaced them with stainless steel and my truck brakes way better than with the stock tires. actually it brakes too good. i barely even touch the brake pedal and i stop. just replace the brake lines with stainless steal and you will have no problem.
