Thank you very much for everything. Are you running a different type of fuel pressure regulator?
I will be running one of these just started to upgrade the fuel system on it so I can start pushing more boost to it. I was ok till I got to 8 lbs on the E-30 and started to run out of fuel afr would go from 11.5 and start leaning off at wot another thing is to get a reusable inline fuel filter as well the stock ones dont seem to last I change it out 2 times to one oil change Aeromotive 13105 - Aeromotive Compact EFI Fuel Regulators - summitracing.com
happy hour, how much do you have into that project? before blowing it up and after? That thing is sweet!
way to much!!!!!!!! lol I think I had $6000.00 into it this is not including any labor, this took me about a month to install and the little things that you never would think of add up quick, engine cost me about $7000.00 all in all its priceless when you are trying to wipe the perma grin off your face
Looks like a fun project.
I wouldn't go over about 4 to 450RWHP on your stock block,,,or you'll be rebuilding it.
And why is that? The stock 5.4s can handle it, why couldn't this? The block is more less the same as a 5.4 with 2 more cylinders.
V10s also have "6-bolt" mains, which I'm sure you already know. I'm pretty confident 600hp wouldn't be a problem if your A/Rs are right and you get no spark knock I'm shooting for the 450 mark as you said though.
Are you talking flywheel HP or rear wheel HP?
The week point is the crappy rods in these motors. They snap and put nice windows in your block.
Back when I was making a little over 450 RWHP ( closer to 500) I was running a 255 fuel pump and a KB boost-a-pump with 42# injectors. Plus a SCT 2600 MAF meter.
When I started to bump up the power I went with an all custom fuel system!
Two Walbro 255 in tank fuel pumps, larger pickup,,larger braided lines all the way to the motor. Aeromotive fuel regulator and fuel rails. And added a Mafia in the mix.
As long as you have a good fuel supply, tuning and a big enough MAF meter. You should be good on your stock block for 450 RWHP,,,but for how long is the question...lol

I still have to figure out the fuel press. regulator. Everything is almost ready and I have mapped the turbo and started data logging the truck with N/A tune to model from. I figure I can keep it at a A/F ratio of 12:1 and push about 6psi. On my desktop dyno it claims 497 hp and 604 ft.lbs. We'll see about that. It was pretty close when I built my last 408 CI '87 mustang so I'm guessing it to be close.
sounds like a great setup though your getting bigger injectors and can control the A/F with your programer so I don't see a need for the boost a pump, or am I missing something?

"The V10 is a better truck, hands down, without question, in all aspects and respects, just is". Ace!
ECM controls fuel pressure through the fuel pump up to 12v. To supply additional pressure under boost, the boost-a-pump will increase voltage to the pump resulting in a bit more pressure. I may need it, I may not. If not, I'll just return it.
The V10 does use a return style fuel system so using an AFPR would not be senseless because you could limit the amount of return thus increasing pressure at the rail. I've thrown the idea around myself and thought about rigging one up on my truck but haven't gotten around to it yet. You're right though, there is no "direct replacement" AFPR available.
