Sound options on the cheap?

So i'm a senior in high school, and even thought i pretty much work full time, i'm still broke most of the time. But i need to do something about the radio, i hate listening to that rap crap that is on the only station that i receive on my way to school so i wanna get a cd player for my truck and update the door speakers as they are crackling or whatever you wanna call it. So what are my options, or better yet, what did you go with?

Hit up ebay, or your local auction house; live auctions are a lot more fun... I picked up a box of CB radios for 10 bucks the other day, got me a Cobra 25, Cobra 78, and a Cobra 29!!! Deals are out there, just keep lookinh...

IMO Your BEST options for speakers right now would be to run to Circuit City before they close for good, and get some Polk Audio Speakers they are runing some kind of BOGO deal on them all the time. As far as a cd player, JVC is the best bang for your buck. I recomend not buying anything from Wal-Mart at all. Circuit City will sell you the wireing harness so all you haveto do is match colors and slip it in.

My system comes from wal-mart except the amp
Two 1100w 10" Xplod subs, 60 a piece
2 Rear 4way speakers, 50
2 Front 4way speaker, 40
CD player, I think 140

Then just build a sub box, find an amp then get all the wireing stuff and your set.
My poor guy system can be heard from far far away
