All i want to know is will they fit and look alright? i have a buddy who is parting out his super duty and i'm already getting the intercooler, but since the interior is the dark blue as is the seat i want the seat also if it will fit in my truck. Thanks guys
They'll fit, I've got some in mine. They're a few inches taller so you'll sit closer to the roof. None of the mounts are in the same place so you have to drill all new holes
do i have to drill new holes in the floor or in the seat brackets? i guess i will find out when i look at it, but i want to know what i'm in for on that project
All new holes in the floor, 12 of them. I used 1/2" grade 8 bolts with 3" square plates below the floorboard so the bolts wouldn't tear thru the sheetmetal.
Mine only had 4 bolts too, it was a bench and I put in a 40/20/40 and each piece had to be bolted separate.
If I already have an OEM 40/20/40 will a newer one (read SD) fit, or will I still need to drill new holes? Assuming I can find new seats. I've been having a heck of a time. Apparently they go fast at the salvage yards.
By the sounds of it you will have to still drill the holes, our 40/20/40 seats attatch to a common piece of metal and then that is bolted down. Sounds to me like the Super Duty seats are bolted down indavidually. So maybe 2 holes will line up on the 40's ??? But i dont know
i will definitely post pics of it when i get it put in. i still have to call him and ask him what he will take for the seats. i'm sure i can get em' cheap..
