Stone Colored Models
What I found out today... Got a 2006 Lariat recently and when I bought it I was informed the color was Stone. (Two-tone with Arizona Beige). I have also seen others on here mention Dark Stone. Well today I was decoding my vehicle sticker in the door jam, and the codes I got for color were T7 AQ. I then looked those up at PaintScratch Touch-Up Paint Code and Paint Name Search and what I came up for the 2006 F150s was: Charcoal Beige Metallic (T7) and Arizona Beige (AQ). I confirmed this at another look-up site as well. There was no mention at either site of any Stone color besides a Smokestone Metallic (HG)
Not that it matters, just interesting...

Looks the same as mine... I'd be curious as to what your color code is.

I have a dark stone 07' and recently bought touch-up paint
dark stone = charcoal beige...same code/same color but different names
dark stone is NOT the same as stone green which is about two shades LIGHTER than dark stone
hopes this helps!
when you go to the parts department ask for charcoal beige because dark stone is not listed

I work in a GM parts department so I can only speak for the generic, but I looked at my touch-up paint list. Under the color name, there are 2 colums. 1 is the 'engineering description' and the other is 'marketing description.' As best as I can figure, the Ford people had 1 name for the color (Charcoal Beige Metallic), but the marketing people thought it may be too much so they changed it (Dark Stone) to be more appealing and easier to market. On my list there is no mention of 'metallic' in any of the marketing descriptions but it's in most of the engineering ones. You best bet is to go off the paint code on the sticker to get the correct thing.
