Gauge Pod question

<HR style="COLOR: #d1d1e1" SIZE=1><!-- / icon and title --><!-- message -->I have added a single gauge pod and gauge to my 08 F450, can someone tell me were I can tap dash light power for the new gage? I can't seem to find a wire for the instrument cluster.

On my 02 F350 if I remember right it was a light blue wire at the main headlight switch.

Thanks in advance!

Dan

You have to be careful on this model because just because it is a wire it could be a data cable wire instead of what you are looking for. Here is what Audiovox states is the wire. You will need a relay if you tap into the switch per these instructions.

When I installed my CB unit I found a whole mess of spares right under the steering wheel a little to the left. If you look in your owners manual if you have one it will show you which ones are which. All the wires were marked. It might be little farther to get to but I used the trailer wire harness under the cab to run my running lights I beleive it was a brown wire like a #10 gauge wire.Look on the trailer plug cover and it will tell which one it is.

Good morning, I haven't taken any pictures but you can get one at www.dieselmanor.com I also bought their paint to match my interior. Using the single pod you still retain the grab handle and does look factory.

Hooking up the gage light has been the real pain, even my ford dealer tried to figure it out with no luck and said be very careful, because it looks like everything is now controlled by the "smart junction box" via low voltage com wires.
