Sure, Skip I'll even have some rooms available. My son and grandson will be working in North Dakota . I could be a good tour guide. We're only about 3 1/2 hours from New Orleans too.

I'm about 90 miles from Houston. There's lots to do around Houston. Galveston is about 40 miles away. Took that picture from the Galveston ferry

No computer error. They wanted 8 percent on $24, 000 when I bought it in 06. I just paid the guys note off. It only had 40k miles on it. Plus he had already put some extras like the 6 position power progammer and it had nice moto metal rims but they got stolen out of the back of the truck in Anchorage on christmas day. Now that I did the math it was closer to $2000.00. Since I had tags till August and I was planning to drive to Alaska anyway I just waited until I got to Alaska to put it in my name.

Texas uses a odd system..

When I was active duty and got sent back there from Ft. Wainwright, I paid $1750 for tags-- on a $10,000 used F150...

If I had only known that two years later I would be back up here...

Any hunting opertunities around you there Ron?

Tunica Hills WMA | Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries
Yeah Chris, there's white tail deer, turkey, duck, some people hunt raccoons I like to hunt for squirrels since they're easy to pack out of the woods and they taste good kinda like chicken. I grew up eating southern cooking. I haven't done much hunting here in east Texas. I usually go to my family's land in Louisiana. My cousin has 600 acres on the Mississippi river about 3 1/2 hour drive from my place in Texas.
Google Tunica Louisiana and St Francisville Louisiana. It's some beautiful country some of the best deer hunting in the state. I haven't been hunting in quite a while don't have the legs to go hiking like I used to. Im more of a fisherman these days. Theres Toledo Bend and Sam Rayburn lake not far from my place plus I'm right on the coast.

Thanks... I will post next time I head down to the Los Anchorage area. Truth be told, for the last few years when we go south we've been taking my wife's pavement princess. It's shorter and easier to park down there. It's an 07 Durango with the 5.7 hemi.
