Thanks for the warm welcome everyone, yes I am a bit of a gear head, to say the least, I like to dabble with just about every type of car, I own a 37 Pontiac streetrod, a 50 plymouth convertible, 66 V8 4 barrel Mustang coupe, 2000 Supercharged Buick regal (which I refuse to run against the stang, I will be too angry when the Buick smokes it lol), 96 explorer, and of course the 74 F250. The f250 is the newest to the fleet, and was probably the worst decision I ever made when buying a vehicle out of the 30 or so vehicles I have owned. I have built more musclecars and hotrods than I can count on 2 hands, and this truck was THE most rotted thing I have ever seen, but when I bought it I figured ahh, some metal work and I will be good to go, well here I am 5 months later, and I have changed the engine, front clip, cab and back bed, oh and the rear spring perches also. The original 360 blew about a mile into the trip home from the guys house who I bought it from, and the brakes dropped to the floor about a half mile before that, so I had to have my buddy come pick me up with a heavy equipment trailer since the plow was on it and the car trailer wouldnt be big enough. We got it loaded on the trailer and were on our way home, then the tailgate fell off the truck while in transit, and sent people flying all over the road trying to avoid it!!! LOL, now that I look back it was kinda funny, what a peice of ***** that truck was, but last night I took it out on a nice trip through a marsh land and had it in about 3 feet of water, and it didnt even break a sweat, even in 2 wheel drive it was great, until it decided to crap out in about a foot of water!! I couldnt beleive it, all it would do was crank, then right before the battery was gonna die, she fired up and I threw it in reverse and took off outta there, with the hood still open and all!!! I got it home and I think I figured it out, I found the hot to the coil was at 12 volts, and there is a resistor wire on it, but I guess its no good and heated the coil up, so I am gonna throw a ballast resistor in it tomorrow. Anyway, I will stop blabbing, I just figured I would share a little of my background with you all, and I look forward to chatting. Jack
