'00 Expedition EB 4x 5.4L - Chip / Performance Recommendations

Looking to spruce the performance of my '00 EB 4x Expi. It has the 5.4L

I've thought about chipping it, putting in air intake, etc.

BANKS doesn't offer anything for it.

Any thoughts?

TIA

I have exactly the same model you do and I was thinking the same thing. I'm thinking more along the lines of a tuner and exhaust. Edge makes a tuner for these bricks but I haven't heard anything much about them.

I just called AutoAnything - Truck Accessories, Auto Accessories, Auto Parts, Car Covers, Tonneau Cover and Seat Covers at Discount Prices and was told this:
1. Cold Air Intake:
- recommended: S&B - $205.95

2. Exhaust:
- recommended:
--single side - Gibson - 'aluminzed' $336.94
--single side - JBA - stainless $358.95

3. Programmer / Tunner:
- recommended:
-- Jet Performance Programmer $337.95
-- Hypertech Max Energy $379.95
(only difference I was told was HT has lifetime warranty, Jet = 1 yr)

Granted, their 'recommended' was from their coffers, so open to any thoughts on the above.

What would be a good 'first move?' Then look to add others as time wore on... Or would I have to do all three at once?
