Carb Question
#2
Yeah, but you'd need to be able to let it breathe at the exit. I'd say with a carb, a set of headers would be a good addition. Besides, I think you'd have to get a new intake manifold anyway, like the Edelbrock Performer 400, or I think Weiand and Holley both have offerings in this area as well.
Aaaaaaaaaaaand, if you're going to go that far.........why not just go nuts, and build a 434, with new heads, cam, intake, exhaust, carb, roller conversion, etc, etc, etc............sorry, couldn't help myself.

its a 4 spd so i shouldnt have to worry about the kickdown. im going to get the 2-4bbl adapter for the time being. im low on money. this is just a starting point, plus a great deal. i think im going to build the engine from the top down. its kind of a dumb way to do it but im 20 with no money so im going the best way i can for now.

I'm 25 with no money, so I feel ya . No harm in looking around though. The adapters are around $25, and that money can go towards an intake. Although I'm running that adapter upside down on my truck right now. I have the Eddy intake, with a 2bbl Motorcraft on it. The Holley I have just won't work right, even after the rebuild...
