i have a 1997 ford f-150 4x4 auto reg cab short bed... i am getting around 13 mile to the gallon is this about normal??? that is mostly highway driving at around 65 miles an hour... i had a 700 grizzly in the bed a treestand and a box on the rack with all of my clothes etc... prolly around 1100 pound in the bed... so is that pretty good given what i was hauling??? oh btw my other truck in my sig is gone but i a fixing to get me another 7.3 for a towpig... hehe for my other ford ranger... i am looking at a 97 model ford f-350 auto ext cab 4 wheeldrive that i am more then likely gonna buy...

 

my 97 gets about 19.5 empty and about 15.5 pulling a 28" enclosed car trailer about 10k

65-68mph I will pull off 16.5-17.5 miles per CANADIAN gallon.

My personal best was being very light footed and humming around55mph or keep it under 1600rpm and I pulled off 24 miles per canadian gallon.

Canadian gallon is 4.5 liters, American is 3.78 if I'm corect.

Oh, this milage is using diesil, I have no idea what my gas milage on my truck would be, have not been brave enough

 

I get about 20 running empty, and 14 pulling a 9000 pound travel trailer

 

he said that its an f150 he is driving now, i wouldent expect antyhing more than about 15-16 out of an f150 gasser empty atleast thats in my experiance
