I bought a door seal kit from LMC trucks. They are installed but are very stiff. It takes a lot of force to close the doors. Do you think they will soften up or collapse enough to allow adjustment of the doors?
I left the doors shut to see if they set up different.
It takes about 2 years, but yeah, they do get easier. If you didn't re-adjust your striker after the install, you're likely trying to close it too far for the new seals.

Probably not. I used the same seal kit on my 48 from the same source. Even after sitting all last winter with the door closed the seal was as hard as ever when I tried shutting the door this spring. I've spoken with other 48-52 truck owners at shows and the ones who's doors seem to seal the best and shut well used something other than the stock seals. I think the rubber used in the stock seals is just too hard and what we really need is a hollow rubber seal like used on more modern vehicles...
If you find a source for something like that let me know.
