Gibbon front end kit

Hey y'all
I have coming to me, some day, a Gibbon front end kit that is sitting in California (I'm in Wyoming). My father bought it years ago, and it has with it the front from a '73 Charger.

Basically, I wanted to see if anyone knows if there is a special motor mount that will need to be used for this since I'm putting a 460/C6 in it. I know that Gibbon went belly up and if there was a special motor mount that would need to be used, I'm outta luck unless I can have something fabbed.

Also, I just wanted to see if anyone has pics or even an installation instruction sheet for these kits. I have an eerie feeling that my father lost his years ago, and I'd like to take a look at it on paper to see what I'm up against.

Also, if anyone needs a front axle, springs, etc. I have a nice front end on this '53 F100 I just bought for parts. The guy pretty much restored the chassis then gave up. I'l have sheet metal here for sale eventually too. It's got a nice cab.

Thx
Dave

I have done a couple of these swaps over the years and they have been just about the easiest installations I have ever done. The Cordoba kit (which I'm sure is the same as the Charger) bolts in using existing holes in the stock frame. We used 1''X2'' .188 wall tubing for a vertical mount and then ran a brace toward the outside of the rails. I may have some pictures of these somewhere but we are moving into a new house in a few weeks and I have no idea where any of this stuff may be. One of my installs was a 351W and the other a 429 so I don't see any potential for any complications. LOL

Thanks Fatfender. Yes, if you can get some pics after you're settled in, that would be great.
On the 429, did you have to use any special motor mounts? Wat did you use, exactly?
Thx
Dave

Just fabbed the mounts from the 1x2 tubing, they attached to the Mopar x-member (vertically) and a had a cross brace to the side rails, very simple and functional. Nothing special or exotic

I know that I definitely have the first 2 pages of the instructions. Not sure how many there were altogether.

Send me a PM with your email address and I'll send them to you.
