Hey all, this is off topic, but oh well. I am taking the steps to prepare for the year 2011. I am fed up with all the crap going on in government, and have decided that if I am going to complain, I had better try and do something about it. I am getting myself on the 2011 Governor ticket. I will be basing my candidacy on The Power of The People Rests Within The People. My campaign floor will be based on putting the power of government back into the habds of the citizenry WHERE IT BELONGS!. I have started asking some organizations for help in funding, and will just be myself. The average American that believes and swears by the Constitution of the United States of America. I will gladly admit to my old Ford addiction, and the fact that I carry my hand gun on my hip, and I am the only person on my street flying Old Glory. Anyhow, I figured that since this will effect all of you, I should probably let you know. Wish me luck.....

It's not "off topic" This is a state Chapter and we can post pretty much what we want ( within the rules) I for one would love to see an ordinary joe run for office! If I can be of some help let me know.

I'm reddy to vote for a regular Joe, and let the real people run the state. Good Luck

The power of the American Republic was nad is always supposed to be vested into the people that governs it. This is my point, and I will not stop until this nation is where it is supposed to be. I have to start somewhere. Mayor, is not big enough, can't get much done. Governor, is attainable, assuming I have enough followers will to help. My ultimate goal is to aquire the governance of Oregon, and build a system that allows the people to govern themselves through an elected "board of trustees" (so to speak). This how the original framers of the U.S. intended, and that has been lost. I want EVERY SINGLE persons vote to be accountable. Should we do this or not....vote yes or no people say yes, then make it so, people say no, then onto something else. I think the Governor makes too much. 98K a year. I will take half that and put the other half into the school system, and public protection (police, fire, etc.) I know it aint much, but at least it's something.

Time for some serious house cleaning. I have some ideas. I want to get tough on some excess spending. I want to put an immediate stop to the publicly owned cars making trips to SubWay, or BK on the employees personal time. I am tired of public vehicles being used for private errands. I want to reevaluate the value of ODOT. I think there is an excess amount of waste in that agency. I want more cops, if we can afford it. I want more teachers, if we can afford it. I want a more accurate system for allowing state assistance. I think there needs to be a serious cleansing of the food stamp program. I think more people can be given OHP coverage, and less people are in need of food stamps. I think the state income tax can be reduced, or even eliminated. I lived in Nevada for a long time. The funding in that state is pretty good. I think casinos should be legalized, and the massive influx of money from that would help our economy dramatically. These are some of my ideas, but if the public don't agree, then they don't get approved. The roads here suck, and I think the system is failing bad.
