To funny, my husband actually said yesterday that he was going to get some Honda Hybrid emblems for the X. He works for Honda, I wonder if he can get them for free. I would LOVE to see the look on people faces. Especially since one day at my kids school this Toyota driver yelled at me for having my X running and claimed that i was killing all the kids at school! I laughed in his face and told him to go hug a tree...

Hybrids don't make real sense. I'll be laughing when hybrid owners
are paying big money to have them hauled to a toxic waste site
when they reach the end of their useable life. Diesel is the real answer.

Veggie Oil isn't a Hybrid, it's an alternative fuel.
It'll burn in an ordinary diesel engine.

Some refer to them as Frybrids though.

Based on the current $3.00 gallon gas prices, the gas model rated at 17 mpg in city driving -- the extra $10,000 I would pay for the Hybrid will take me 56,667 miles on 3,333 gallons of gasoline right off the bat in the gas model.

Somebody explain to me where all this "Save The Green Earth" foolishness kicks in? I'm suppose to pay $10,000 more for a Hybrid model just so I can feel good? While driving the Hybrid am I suppose to jump out and hug a tree occasionally, or am I suppose to hug a tree every day?

Is this same scenario playing out price wise in the new Hybrid Tahoes and Hybrid Suburbans? Sacrifice your first 50,000 or 60,000 miles in gas just ot have a cute Hybrid emblem on the door?

I just don't get it.

of course this is the same"green" dealer that has a P/U posed on top of a subaru isn't it?

they need to decide if they're cool or not

Sure is. I would never buy that truck after it's been sitting there so long with the frame twisted as bad as it is while parked on that junk car. They might think that looks cool, but it sure is putting a lot of undue stress on the truck's frame and suspension components.

I think I saw you going across Free Bridge a few nights ago about 7:45 p.m. or 8:00 p.m. I got ready to chase you down like a rabid dog and get a free beer out of you!

I musta have been doing my Tractor Supply/VatoZone run and the dogs wanted to ride...we need to hook up for a couple cold ones...

I had to snap the pic earlier, I'm even more amused they had it chained down and the air out of the tires in the subratu

Ok, I'll make my case, and everyone can decide from there.

Each gallon of gasoline or diesel that I buy for street use, even for gasoline for my lawn mower, generator, practice fuel for the race bike, etc., all have road taxes applied to them.

Each should consider contacting their representative to ensure that plug in electric vehicle pay road taxes also. I don't feel that I should bear the burden of maintaining and building roads for their vehicles...unless they'd like to make their own roads.
