62-63 Ford econoline specs. needed

Could someone please tell me what the track width of a 62-63 Econoline van or pickup?? Basically,if someone could measure their Van or Pickup for me,it would be a great help..Thanks!

71CJ,

I'm fairly sure this applies to all '61 to '67 pickup and vans...

Rear tread width (measured from center of tire to center of tire) 60.5 inches.
Front tread width 60.3 inches.

Hope this helps!

71CJ,

Not sure what your intentions are, but a 1995+, Explorer 8.8 rear end is about 59.3" and is an good candidate for a '60's Econoline swap. Rear discs, and priced very reasonable. There is a 28 and 31 tooth axle, but can't recall the years available. I'm new to the E's, so I'm learning as I go.

Again,

Good luck!

First of all, thanks for all the info....
Well,( I hope this doesn't upset anyone)the reason I needed to know this info was for a 62' Falcon gasser project..I wanted to put a straight axle under the front and I've read people were using early Econoline van axles for this swap..The front track width on a 62' Falcon(car) is 55 inches and while an Econoline axle does go underneath, I am probably going to use a custom built aftermarket tube axle for fear of reduced turning radius and fender clearance with the wider Econoline axle...
BTW, there are several very nice early Econoline vans in a junkyard near me in NJ..If anyone needs any parts, let me know..Thanks again!
