I typed the BOM (610023-2) into the Dana Spicer site linked in that post (Thanks Tony!) and it comes up as a D60, so congrats on your find!

 

looks like you scooped up an old F250 sno-fighter

Glad someone pulled up this old post on the Snow Fighter axle. I ran out to read the numbers on my front diff and there it is plain as day: 610023-2

So I guess there was no axle swap to a D60...it came stock - I'm quite happy with this revelation

There are still bargains to be found,especially if you have access to cash with short notice.In the last 10 years Ive managed to find and buy two Dodges with D60 front axles,both excellent running,one had an excellent body,and the other had several thousand dollars worth of aftermarket goodies,and i paid $1000 for one,$1600 for the other!I realize that the Fords with D60 Fronts are scarcer,but you are living proof that they can be found cheap on occasion,Good Score!
