Radiator Fan Removal from the Pulley

How the hell do you remove that thing? I can't get it off the motor.

My motor is completely tore apart and the fan/pulley is the only thing left before I can re-assemble. New intake and other stuff is ready to go...just this one little stupid thing.

My tech manual shows 2 tools to remove the fan. A big wrench and a smaller wrench. The big wrench is fairly obvious where it goes. The small one has no place to go...and I'm getting pretty irritated here.

Insight would be wonderful

I'll put pics up later when I download the camera.

Normally the small wrench goes into two holes on the pulley to hold it still while removing the fan. But I just looked at mine and there are no holes on it...so maybe it takes a special one that holds it behind the pulley. Or you could try putting the belt back on to hold the pulley to remove the fan.

Tylus, Are you taking pictures as you go? I might pull the trigger on one of these depending on your results. How hard was it to take the stock intake out?
