what you need to worry about is the overall tire diameter. your stock 4x4 can fit a 33" tire with a 315 width just fine.
I don't recommend the 24" tires though. As mentioned already, the ride will be brutal. and you'll most likely pop your tires off the rims pretty often.
Do you do any "work" with this truck? Only reason I ask is I dont have the foggiest idea what the rating on those tires would be, at that size. Something to think about.
i have put 22,000 miles on it and have not loaded it yet.lol. just got 4x4 because i live in colorado. the 295/40/24 would have a 4.6 sidewall i believe so i guess that would be over 33 inches. might just go with 22's so i can get a thicker wheel for protection. sure want some 24's though
There is an unending list of questions that I could pose regarding the application of 22 or 24 inch rims on a 4x4 truck. I lieu of that I will just say ,YOU GO GIRL!
I just put some 22" Harley rims on my 4x4 truck with 305/40/22 and they don't ride that bad at all. The bumps in the road feel the same so far as my LT-rated 275/65/18 stock tires.
