67 Econoline M/C part #?

I just purchased a 1961 Econoline pickup. Can someone give me the FOMOCO part # for a 1967 Econoline dual res master cylinder?

Thanks.

Bill,
Thanks for the quick reply and welcome! After reading about E's for a few weeks, the M/C sounds like another hens tooth, like the tailgates.
Thanks again!

Take the Ford part number to NAPA, they can cross it over to the brands they sell.

Master cylinders have no Ford ID numbers on them, so beware if someone (especially on ebay) claims to have one.

If searching for a used Econoline pickup tailgate, be aware that there are TWO different ones.

C2UZ-8740700-A .. 23 1/2" high; 50 3/4" wide

C2UZ-8740700-B .. 19 1/2" high; 50 3/4" wide

Bill,

Isn't the '67 Econoline M/C somewhat unique, having the brake pedal pivot cast into the end of the M/C? Upon visual inspection, this would be hard to disguise to be anything other than the correct part. Right?

I like to keep a parts list with me when I go to swap meets and car shows was the reason for the part number request.

A few more needs...
A windshield (and competent glass shop) and a good, reliable, Ford engine builder in the LA area.

I appreciate any and all input!

Thanks!

Windshield: C6UZ8903100A .. Clear / C6UZ8903100B .. Tinted / NAGS# W603 / (NAGS-National Auto Glass)

Fits: 1961/67 Econoline.

You'll also need the windshield weatherstrip:

C1UB8903110A .. reproduced by Dennis Carpenter / Fits: 1961/67 Econolines.

This same w/strip also fits 1961/66 F100/1100's without w/s mouldings.

Bill's Auto Repair on Maple St. in the city of Orange does my work.

Best indie autoparts store in SoCal for older cars/trucks:

Engler Brothers Auto Parts on Pico Blvd in Santa Monica, west of Sawtelle, east of 26th Street.

Competent Glass Shop: Bruin Auto Glass on Westwood Blvd in Westwood, between S/M & Olympic Blvds.

* * The 1967 Econoline master cylinder is illustrated here twice:

1964/72 Ford Truck Parts Catalog / Section 21 / Page 17.

The 64/72 catalog / 1957/63 Ford Truck Parts Catalog are available on CD's from hipoparts.com / Also sold on ebay for a 'buy it now' price (roughly 22 bucks each).

Depending on where you live in LA ? (your profile sez Michigan), I could loan you my CD of the '64/72 catalog so you could download it into your 'puter. That'll save you 22 bucks.

My 1957/63 catalog (there's 3 volumes) is the original Ford bound paper version.

Hey Bill, all I can say is…WOW! What a reply! It’s all been printed and added to my “E” folder BTW.

Probably wind up having a mobile glass installer put the front and rear glass in after I buy the weather stripping. I want to inspect the metal surrounds and repair them if necessary, before having the new glass added. Can’t imaging what a “driving without windshield” violation would cost!

Might have lead on the M/C in Detroit. A shop there claims to have one that might need rebuilding, or has one that has been rebuilt.
They’re going to fax me a tracing if they can locate it. Were talking lo-tech bone yard…the best kind!

Trying to make a transition from MI to CA, but in the last year living in CA, I’ve spent 7 months in MI.! For now I’m in Santa Barbara area, but heading back to MI in a few weeks. When I know I’ll be here (CA) for a while, I might take you up on that CD offer.

Thanks for the great reply!

I had much better luck finding you a master cylinder repair kit than the master cylinder itself.

C7TZ2004E .. Master Cylinder Repair Kit / Fits 1967 Econoline.

Obsolete Ford parts dealer Green Sales Co. in Cincinnati OH has 5 available = 800-543-4959.

I received the fax of the M/C tracing including the original installation directions for the bench bleeding procedure for the dual master cylinder. It is a Bendix rebuilt, so I bought it.

While I'm under the front end I'm considering replacing bushings, tie rod ends, etc. if necessary, just to tighten things up. I'd like to install urethane parts. Any suggestions of who carries urethane kits for the "60's E's?

Thanks!

The autoparts store in Santa Monica I recommended earlier would a good place to start.
