Photos: 2009 F-150's being loaded on transports @ Kansas City Plant

Found these photos & thought I'd share.

Photo's caption:
First Shipment of new 2009 Ford F-150 Trucks:
CLAYCOMO, MO., October 3, 2008--The first shipment of new 2009 Ford-150 trucks, the most capable pickup with unsurpassed fuel economy, leave Kansas City Assembly Plant bound for dealerships around the country. The plant celebrated the truck's production this week with employees, dealers and government officials.

Platinums and FX4s will come from Dearborn. King Ranches are KC builds. All regular cabs, stepsides, and long beds come from Kansas City. Both plants build super cab and supercrew regular and short bed trucks, which are the volume models.

Welcome to FTE, zendaro!

I didn't take the photos myself, I think that they were taken by Ford during/after their event at the KC plant last week.

I had to go back an look but your right they are Mexican "Lobo"s, not F-150's. I've always wondered why they call the F-150 that south of the border?

That's exactly what I was thinking! I had to go back and look at the larger original that I had to be able to see it. I posted the zoomed, cropped photo so everyone else wouldn't have to squint.

Ford calls the F150 "Lobo" here in México because they had a version of the pre 96 gen that had a big "Lobo" sticker on each side of the truck and it was as cool as you could get so for the new generation(back in 96)they named the XLT,FX4,Lariat,King Ranch and Harley versions "Lobo" ; and the entry level and work trucks were and are called "F150" for the ones with 6 cyl.engines and F250 for the ones with with V8 engines, and "Super Duty" for the ones you now as F250

If they truly were going to Mexico they wouldn't be on trucks now would they? They'd be on rails.

Well to honest, LOBO is sold in Mexico and Texas...These were probable going to Texas, and Northern Mexico. Convoy goes in a five state area, outside of that it goes by rail.
