Dealer damaged my transmission

I took my 08 CC Job #1 in, with 27800 miles on it, for a radiator leak. After getting it back and having the rad replaced, I drove it for about 300 miles before I noticed it jerking into second gear kinda hard, so i checked the fluid, and it didnt even read on the stick? Im calling the dealer tomorrow! Please someone reassure me I havent ruined it!? HOW MUCH FLUID IS IN THE RAD COOLER, I KNOW IT HAS ITS OWN COOLER, BUT HOW MUCH IS IN THE TUBE OF THE RADIATOR? Sorry for caps. Thanks for any comforting advice

Not to be insulting but was the engine running when you checked it? It should be; I've made that mistake before.
Maybe they flashed it and it's relearning your driving habits.

Yes, it was hot and running, Ive been working on cars all my life. Went through all the gears, put her in park, left her running, and checked her. No fluid on the stick after wiping her off and reinserting her.

Hmmm,,I would call the dealer,,,kinda,, tell them what you found,,,look in the owners manual for correct tranny fluid,,drive another vehicle or have someone get a couple Qts,,,(prob motorcraft SP) for you,,,,add it as required,,see how it acts driving it too the Dealer,,to let them Have it !

I would almost tell them to come pick it up so they can see for themselves, don't know if it is feasible or not. I would also call Ford customer care and report it and asked for a free extended warrenty on the tranny. Had one of my cars tranny fuid changed at a jiffy lube about 5 years ago and they did the same thing, tranny was ok but never went back to them!

Just a silly question, what does having the radiator replaced have to due with the transmission fluid? Am I missing something?

I think you are missing something. The radiator has a transmission cooler in it. When the radiator is replaced the trans cooler goes with it. The trans lines are disconnected and fluid can leak out of it, plus you lose a pint or so that's in the trans cooler inside the radiator.
