Looks like I'm switching forums

I ordered an 2009 6.4 Lariat CC SB 4WD Royal Red with Ebony interior. I loaded it right up with everything except for rear seat DVD, 20" wheels, chrome pkg and the tailgate step. I did have the order with two tone with Silver trim, but changed my mind and had it changed back to monotone. Some of the new options like the nav pkg and factory spray-in box liner are real nice. The dealership hopes to have it here by the end of Nov. to the 2nd week of Dec.
I am having the dealer install the Ford Gold remote start / alarm pkg and asphalt undercoating. The list came out to $70,119.00 plus the cost of the remote start / install and undercoating and taxes. Cost to me came out at 63k even with 0% financing over 36months or about $8,500.00 off plus what ever I am saving in interest.

(prices Cdn)

Sounds really nice. I didn't know you could option one of these up that high.

The tail gate rear step is nice. I would never have ordered it, but the truck I bought had everything I wanted - plus that step. I use it more than I would have ever thought - Now I wouldn't have a truck w/o it.
Just my 2 cents worth.

Have to remember it is in Canadian dollars and pricing. On the American Ford site it is only about 62k after the dollar exchange and rebates.

Yes and no. I have been nervous about the 6.0 since I bought it, but have to admit I haven't had any problems with mine. I started a thread in the 6.0 forum about my decision, but basically the engine my friends truck (unmodified) just had to be replaced after the warranty had ended at great expense and another guy I talked to just lost the head studs in his. I have had a bit of sticking in my turbo veins in the winter, but nothing to worry about yet. Just got the feeling that I should switch. Most of the bugs in the 6.0 are dealt with, but the design of the engine ie. HPOP, HUEI injetors, turbo, etc. is the same and are susceptible to failure. Kind of like the 5th sense thing. As for the F-350 truck itself I love it and it will be missed.

Yes I'm pumped, going to be the nicest truck I ever had or probably ever will have. Another nice thing on the new trucks is they have the pats keys which should help a bit with all the Superduty thefts.

lol that's funny. They aren't all bad though. One of my friends has a job 2 and he is getting very close to what I get with my 07. I think he has the newest flash as well but not positive. I have seen Fords inside document on their own testing of The 08 Ford, Chev and Dodge trucks. The Ford and The Dodge were almost the same and the Chev was about 1.5mpg better. The Chev also weighed about 1500lbs less than the other two trucks. You couldn't pay me enough to buy the Chev even if it did get better mileage.

you will like the 6.4 psd. I am very happy with mine, I have a job 3 F250 and all the kinks have been worked out and I around 14 city and almost 18 highway empty. around 10 when towing...better than 6 mpg with the gasser! And it just runs up the hills.

14 city 18 hwy and 10 towing is what I get now with my 6.0. I tow a 37' fifthwheel (12k lbs loaded) that is in my gallery.

It is, but the wait is still a killer. This is the forth time I ordered a vehicle and it gets worse with each one. But I do know for some reason when I order it instead of picking one off the lot I have hung on to them alot longer.
