Engine loping / running rough at startup with Spartan ASE tune.

I just switched from Spartan's MSE tune to their ASE tune. I really like the way it runs and shifts, seems smoother than the MSE tune. The only problem is, when I first start the truck it lopes really bad the first time I press the throttle, even lightly to just back out of my parking space. I have to let off the throttle and try again and its alway fine the second time. It almost seems like its overfueling and then cutting out the injectors repetitively at a fast rate. Any ideas what's causing this? It only does it the first time I touch the throttle, but I don't like it and am thinking of switching back to the MSE tune. Thanks for any input!

I run the ASE, and I get the same results, but ONLY when the engine is colder than 140(ish) degrees. Once it's warm the sypmtoms are gone. I equate this to fuel timing and the willingness of the injectors to play along.

just imagine how it sounds when you crank up your truck when its all cold with they hybrid tune. i have seem Matt post on here before that it doesn't harm the truck but if it bothers you he can tweak the tune with a cold weather fix.

I figured it was something like that, it does only happen when cold. This must be why Ford has different cold operation than after they warm up (I think). It doesn't bother me much so I'll just be sure and keep that in mind until its warmed up. I never drive it hard until fully warmed up anyway.

I used Icon 4" leaf springs in front and 5" blocks in the back. Hopefully I'll be able to get springs for the back eventually to get rid of the tall blocks.
