p0603 Keep Alive Memeory (KAM) code is common.
But you may be losing power to the PCM.
Possible causes:
Battery or PCM has been disconnected
Battery cables loose or poor connection
Battery discharged
Open in KAPWR circuit (Keep Alive Power)
Blown fuse - Is Battery voltage present on both sides of the fuse? (5A MINI Fuse 2 on F-Series or Fuse 27 on Econoline)
PCM
Check for other codes:
Have it scanned with a good scanner. Most "Code Readers" will not give you the info you need. A recording scanner needs to be hooked up when it fails.
CHECK FOR VOLTAGE TO PCM
Back probe the PCM connector KOEO. Check the voltage between PCM Pin 55 and ground Pins 25, 51, 76, 77, 91 and 103
If B+ is present on all pins then put her back together CLEAR codes, RERUN test, If it happens again or the code comes back REPLACE the PCM.
If B+ is not present on an one of them then REPAIR open circuit.
