IDK...does it?
18,000.00 @ 13% interest for 72 months is 361.33 month.
+ gas (for me its almost 400.00 a month!)
+ insurance
+ oil changes/ repair
That's just some of the stuff that needs to be considered.....
Also, I think it will be very hard to even get a loan with your age/credit history with the way things are right now.
If you can comfortably afford it , I say go for it.

Yes, zero % if he takes that over the rebates which around here are about $12,000....
I took it he was going used but if he is going new.....From FORD 4.9% for 72 months W/ $1000.00. bonus cash...for 18k that would be 289.05 a month.....but you would have a a lot higher selling price with less rebates.
When I bought mine new in 06 and financed through FMC they stuck 9.9% on the loan.....that is with great credit also......I refinanced for 4.1% after two months......

another option
If you are not set on a new truck and can wait awhile for a deal I would suggest looking for a used one. I found a 2000 f150 5.4 supercab for $4300 with only 60k miles and still looks new, new tires as well. It took me about 2 months to find the deal. It was well taken care of and not used for any towing, plus I do not have truck payments!

He won't get 72 months financing on a used vehicle these days. Take it from someone who has been there done that (as we all have, right?). Only buy what you can pay off in 36 months. Try and find a good condition 2000 or up that you can afford. You will thank yourself when you're 30...and have a wife...a few kids...and zero debt.
Or, buy what you can't afford and hope the gov't bails you out...seems a popular option these days.

While I encourage you to pick carefully and to buy within your budget, I come from experience when saying you'll be kicking yourself if you lock yourself up with a truck that doesnt have all the options that you want. You may be thinking "I wish I had this or that on my truck..."and stuck with one thats doesnt with up-side-down equity on it.
