The GEN 1 heads are the same.
The differences between a GEN 1 (engine and drive-line) and an standard F series is the inlet tract, throttle body (single 65mm), upper and lower intakes, heads, cam (nothing to brag about though) shorty headers and exhaust and hyper-t pistons. The transmissions are tuned different and the GEN 1's have 4:10 gears with a limited slip differential from the factory.
One thing you can easily check is the base timing on both. Advancing the base timing on these trucks is common and will be noticeable with more timing and higher octane fuels.
