48-50 Billet Dash

Just wondering if anyone has installed the 5 gauge billet aluminum dash in their 48-50. I got mine the other day and am not sure how it will attach to the dash. Do I use the stock dash mounts? The PO had the original dash out when I got the truck so I'm not sure what, if any of the stock dash mount parts I have.

If anyone is interested I have two stock dashes that seem to be in good shape. No charge you just pay the shipping.

I had a billet dash in a F1 that I had years ago and it had small brackets that screwed into the back of the billet dash that tighten against the metal.I don't remember now where I got the dash from.

I have a billet dash in my 48 that I got from Dolphin gauges. It mounts with the original dash studs that are welded to the back of the dash panel. A few brackets just secure it with nuts. Easy install. There is a picture of it in my gallery in the At Last set of photos.

I also purchased the Dolphin billet dash but don't recall seeing any brackets to install the dash. The studs are still in place on the dash board but don't know where the brackets are. Does anyone have photos of the brackets that I can see so I can either find them in the parts bin or fabricate new ones?

Yeah, I got the 2" wider rear FG fenders from McMillan a week ago. Nice clean straight and look great, fast shipping, I could go on. I need to do a bunch of work to the bed before I mount them yet tho. I would recommend these rear fenders to anyone.

Upon closer look, I see my billet dash came with the required retainers to use the stock mounts. Thanks...
