Actually I think I know the answer. I have a set of Weld Wheels that I wanted to powder coat, but the powder coat guy tells me that if he bakes the wheels, the treatment put on by Weld will/could cause them to peel. Is it possible to rough-sand the surface of a set of alloy wheels and paint them?

 

yes to the painting. alot of guys have actually done this with their OEM wheels from Ford.

just make sure to do a good prep job. and then seal them afterwards
