F150 air intake

I recently replaced the oe air filter with a K&N. Should I also modify the intake so as to get more air to the filter?

Yes, clean the air flow into the intake up a bit. Remove the fitting in the fender well and open the canister up a bit. This will help the truck to breath a bit better. If you want a bit more power, have a free flowing muffler installed. It does not have to be loud. Try a Flowmaster of Dynomax. Both companies make mufflers that are almost as quiet as stock, but, much more free flowing.
Thanks
Danny

Thanks for the advice. I have also ordered a DiabloSport chip. Do you have any feedback on this particular item?

Yes, I know a little about the DiabloSport Chips. I am the Distributor for this site for Superchips and DiabloSport Chips. I think that you will be pleasantly suprised with the chip.
Thanks

F150 air intake

I recently purchased a Gibson exhaust and K&N replacement air filter for my 1998 F150. I considered using one of the new AIRAID systems but found out in CA that they are not smog legal. Make sure whatever air filter you choose is smog legal in your area so you don't run into problems.
