Sluggish in overdrive and sometimes hesitate and sputters on acceleration

My 1995 will sometimes hesitate/sputter on acceleration. It seems to be sluggish when in 2nd gear only because the 2-3 shift is soft and occurs very quickly after the 1-2 shift. When in overdrive it seems to be sluggish as well. I had an '85 AOD before this E4OD. I don't remember the AOD being sluggish on overdrive. Also when I first start the truck, sometimes it goes up to 1,000 rpms back down to 300 or 400 rpms then back up to 1,000 rpms. That all happens in the first 5 seconds after start-up. The IAC looks new. The other thing I noticed is that when the truck is driving about 55 or 60 mph, it runs a little colder on the coolant gauge. I checked the codes and here is what came up. 116, 636, 311, 538, and 536. The smog pump has been bypassed via the belt. I just replaced the O2 sensor. And the cruise does not work. Not sure if code 536 has anything to do with the cruise. Not sure if most of these problems are caused do to it needing a tune up. Looking for some insight.

If you just got the truck give it a tune up, also check that it has the correct thermostat(192-195 deg) or a thermostat at all.
Was the motor at operating temp when you pulled the codes? If not the temp sensor codes are invalid.

Motor was not at operating temp. It was a cold start. I did put new cap and rotor on it. Haven't gotten around to the plugs and wires yet.
