If you happen to see a crew cab like that let me know. That's less than half of what they're selling for here. We're looking for one for my wife. For grins she put her 150 on craigslist at 1000 over bluebook (04 Lariat w/ 24k miles) and it sold in 2 days, so I've got the cash, just need to find a truck.
I have seen that same truck for the same price just in WA I never could get anything out of the seller about the details on it. I believe he was military.

It's 861 miles from Dallas to Iowa City (i'm not sure of the city you live in). At 16 mpg that's 53 gallons and at $4/gallon that's $212 each way, $424 round trip. Bring truck back and sell for $12,000, realize $5,576 profit and you're a lot closer to that crew cab, or maybe just keep it if you don't need a full size back seat. My '91 super cab really wasn't that bad in back. How cool, to have you both in a nice truck. My wife sure looks good driving mine but no way can we afford two.

I put 1400 miles on my truck this week, so I'll pass on any more long trips for a while, but I like you're thinking. There's tons of extended cabs here, tons of white trucks, and lots of red trucks. Too bad the wife doesn't want any of those.
She really likes Dark gray, and could live with dark blue or black (hint hint for anyone listening). Maybe all this talk about the economy taking a turn for the worse will help me.
Chris, I realize a female's mind is in play here.... but you may expand your search to diesel excursions....more or less a crew cab F250 with an extra seat and a permanent topper. I bought mine cheap not long ago... but I understand there are things it won't do that a truck will, and vice versa.
chris did yall end up going to look at that truck down in houston?
No, it had lots of body work that had been done to it (and not very well).
She keeps flip flopping on the tan colored ones, so I'm not sure about the truck in SA yet.

We've talked about that possibility, but she's not interested. WhiteBuffalo is thinking about getting an Excursion (4wd) if anyone happens to run across a great deal.
That same one was for sale here in MN. He finally gave me a reply 2 weeks later and said it was in Montana, but he would ship it. Smells like a skunk
I agree, If its not something you can go touch and feel plus sounds too good to be true, than probably is a skunk. I have found plenty of scams on craigslist but also bought mine from craigslist and you just don't know untill you actually see the truck.
A 2002 Limited Excursion with a 7.3 just sold for $9000 by me. It only had 88,000 miles on it and the guy that owned it always took good care of it. I always meant to stop and look at it but never did, now I wish I did. I guess they were going through a divorce and just wanted it gone.
