wake it up

i have a stock 460 which, i put in a mild rv cam, staight up double roller timing chain, pro comp hei distributor, and putting headers on it. I'm looking for a good carb and intake to wake it up a little more, and also it would be nice if the set up would still work if i decide to change the d2ve heads over to c8ve's but not neccessairy thanks

i was considering an edelbroke performer intake, and either a 750 holley, or edelbroke would this work nice

thanks again your input is greatly appreciated

either the Edelbrock Performer RPM manifold or better still the Wieiend (?) Stealth intakes are great dual plane street intakes.

if you do have the D2VE heads, that is the first thing i would replace. they are probably the worst stock heads out there. very prone to detonation even in stock form. either swap out to the early heads (C8, C9 or DOVE heads) for a gain in compression or even the D3VE heads are better then the D2VE heads by a long shot.

a little bit of port work on the exhaust of either heads and a good valve job and you will be amazed at the power these old 460's can acheive with very little "exotic" equipment.
