I personally would say to stay under 3" with the blocks. When I first converted my truck to 4wd, I had stacked blocks to level the rear. I totalled about 6" and it sucked. The rear just "felt" a little unsteady. Since I built the drop hangers, it feels more stable.

I would only use blocks to fine tune ride height. In other words, plan the suspension without them, and if you are a little low, then consider a 1" or 2" block.

blocks stacked on top of one another is bad news, unless the blocks are welded together.
1-2" is usualy where i would try and keep it.

I'll be swapping to the "straight from the factory" f350 rear blocks on my 05 250 Duty and they're 3 7/8" (just say 4") tall. They're made for a truck that can pull almost anything that you can manage to hook to it.

Personally, I wouldn't go over 5"s, and don't stack blocks....even if they're welded, they're cheap enough, just get the needed size all in one block.

Yeah 4"s,that's one of the major differences between the f250s and f350's of at least the 99-07 era (probably the '08's as well). The f250s come with 2" blocks, only suspension difference.

Thats why you can lift a 05-07 250 with a leveling kit. The 250 sits level, the 350 is 2 inches higher out back because of the block. So a leveling kit and some 350 blocks is a cheap 2 inch lift on 250s.

Exactly.......almost.

My 250 didn't sit level stock, few if any do, they're always nose down for hauling.

I currently have a 2.5" lift in the front and am patiently waiting for my 350 blocks and u-bolts to bring the back end up.

Most kits are generalized for F250/350, but cater to the F350. That's why I'm adding the F350 blocks, the front's now taller than the back by about an inch. I have a bit of the pre-runner look at the moment .

I have always put the extra cash into gettn full leaf springs, instead of aal's and blocks. I have seen some awful things with people stackn blocks or using 6 in blocks. I dont think if you are gonna wheel even just a little id run anything more than 3 in blocks. But for all the mall crawlers out there im sure they could get away with stackn as many blocks *** they needed to get around those dangerous parkn lots
