Installed LANDYOT Radius Rods........WOW!!!!
Installed the rods today and drove the X for about 7 miles. I could not believe how little I turned the steering wheel as compared to before. I'm actually looking forward to driving the X to work tomorrow and can't wait until the next time I tow. I just might get my trailer, dump a load of gravel on it and tow it around just to see how the X handles.
Took me about 2.5 hours to install the weld kit but I had a lift, MIG welder, cutting torch, air tools and grinders. Makes life a lot easier.
Ken has a great product. Well worth the $$$$$.

Welcome to the club.
I have to smile sometimes at all the silliness
posted here at times about swaybars etc.
Radius rods should be among the very first modifications
made by anyone who cares about safety and handling.
Shocks and bars are band-aids, the rods are the cure.
And as you noted, and I have mentioned before, you
almost have to re-learn how to drive through corners,
as the EX is much, much more reponsive and precise
with them.
Enjoy!

I think a big truck being "very responsive" could be dangerous to the general public. People already steer way too violently, and sounds liek this may create a sever oversteer if someone were to freak.
Not saying its not a fantastic product, you just have to know what your driving and its just taht much more important now it seems like. I am interested in this though and never really looked into it. Is there a main page I can learn about it on or do I have to do a search and sop up lil bits and pieces of info like a sponge from all over the board?

You can adjust the steering box all you want but you will never get the handling qualities from the X that you will get from the radius rods. I can hold the wheel straight going over changing terrain and the X stays straight. After installing the rods, I did not have to readjust the steering box. However, I assume after installing the rods you can tweak the steering box to achieve individual optimal response.
Two things sold me on the rods, the science is sound and the number satisfied X owners on this site.
To get to the Ken's site just Google "LANDYOT"

I installed a Hellwig. while I`m sure the Land-yots are great, so is the Hellwig. whoever said you have to relearn how to drive the X is right on. I can throw the X through a turn now "almost" like my old mustang, it`s that precise and stable! before it was downright dangerous just driving down the road!!!

Ken (Landyot) actually came to the Excursion Diversion in July. I got to meet him and we got to chat for quite a while as he did with all the Excursion owners at the rally. He is a great guy with a great product. Not sure if he will make it next July or not...but he had product at the event for anyone interested in purchasing on the spot...
