Backseat removal

Anyone with instructions or website to instructions for a 2006 F150 Lariat SCREW. I'm looking for my keypad code - was told its behind the back seat - drivers side.

Thanks.

The back seat is a b**ch to take out. Ive done it, the above link is great. But Ive never heard of the key code being back there. I thought I read here, that the keypad code is behind the radio, under the dash.

Yeah - I read a bunch of how too's - but I'll tell you what, after I get those clips off, that seat is a mother F*%^@er to budge. I couldn't get it to lift up. It seems and felt like there is another bolt holding it in place, thats how sturdy it was. In any event, I called the dealer where I bought it and they keep records of the code, as long as you arethe first owner. Plus it help that the sales manager is a friend, and he gave me my code for free.

Thanks anyway!

When you pull back on the clips.... yank on the seat back from the bottom and pull straight towards yourself.

Ok, but -

In one of the instruction guides it says to pull straight up because there are clips at the top of the seat as well and they hold it back against the wall. So it won't come out towards the front, you need to go up first...as per the instructions in this link.

After I got my back seat off, I tie-wrapped the clips back to leave them open.

Now everytime I have to access my audio amp, I just lift the whole seat up with one hand.

Did you have to pull your back seat forward first before lifting up like it says in previous posts?

Thanks!

Pull up about 2 inches and then out towards the front of the truck. The top of the seat has downward hooks that fit in some slots along the bottom edge of the window.

Like what others said, it was a real big beach to yank the thing out the first time. I couldn't fit my fat fingers in far enough to push the 2 clips back, so just had to use some brute force.

I can do the ole' reach-around and get the clips out, but ten I can't pull the seat straight up at all, its like I need a freakin' breaker bar under it or something. I did get my code for free from the dealer that I was looking for back there, but now its personal! I ain't gettin beat by a seat! Watch, I'll end up rippin' the leather seat just to prove a point!

You removed the 3rd seat belt thing on the top, right?

Yeah man, I feel your pain. I was swearing and breaking out dripping with sweat trying to take the thing out, and if you accidentally let it drop back down far enough for the clip(s) to click in place again, you'll have to do it all over again!
