Horn honks while turning

Two simple fixes
1- lift finger off of horn button
or
2- quit turning left
Now this is funny and I guess I am not making it any better. Sorry I had to do it.
Anyway I would bet the real fix is to remove the wheel and fix the contacts under it. That would almost positively have to be the problem. You could also remove the horn pad and unplug it from the wheel and see if it still does it. Maybe yoou have a bad contact in the pad or something flopping around in there like a loose wire. Just a thought.

Ya beeping at guys is not a good thing! Though if you really feel that way you don't need to blame your truck.......
I would say you either have a short or the contacts have issues under the steering wheel. These trucks don't use a clock spring they have a 3 ring contactor. There is a round plate with three tracks going around it. Those correspond with three spring loaded contacts that ride there for the horn and cruise. You will have to remove the steering wheel to check them out.

Long time ago when people used to fix televisions and there were shops around to do it I was hanging around in the local one and a fellow came in all ticked off because he had brought his TV in for the same problem three times. Seemed that everytime his wife walked across the living room the thing would get fuzzy and cut out. Continued on that it wouldnt do it if he did same. The shop owner wasnt in much better mood than the ticked off customer that morning and serious as a heart attack says, "ever think about tellling her to lose some weight?" ,,,I left before the boxing match.
