My neighbors SD got stolen Tuesday Night

An 07 F250 CC SB. Right out of his driveway.

It was recovered today - dash removed, all of the led's removed (he is a city employee), and the Alpine head unit removed.

Tow yard won't release it yet as it's still being "investigated" by the Sheriff's dept.

I thought you couldn't start the new trucks, that they had to be towed away if you wanted one bad enough. It doesn't seem cost efective to do all that just for a radio and lights, are all the air bags gone along with the dash?

I'm sorry to hear about your neighbors misfortune Steve.

I'll guess the Alpine unit got the thieves attention. F'n bastidges!

Hopefully they didn't beat up his Super Duty too much.

Once again I'll get on my soapbox.... Ravelco and Lojack were two of the best additions to my SD.

Bummer! I hate thieves.

Russ, whats the difference between the ravelco product and the factory anti theft device on my '03? I have the second key that plugs in underneath the steering wheel.

Hey Mike,

I don't know anything about the Ford 2nd key system. Does it disable the ignition/starting circuit?

When I pull the Ravelco 'plug' the engine immediately dies and cannot be started. It won't make a sound when I turn the key unless the ravelco 'plug' is in place.
