08 dead battery, happened to me too

Hey guys, Well I let my truck sit for 3 weeks and I'll be darned the battery was near dead. I leave my Edge plugged in but don't know if that has anything to do with it. Slow charged the battery overnight and it's been fine for 4 days now, so I suspect battery wasn't affected too much. I know this topic has been on here before, did anyone come to any conclusions?

Your truck/any new vehicle has so many modules in it now that there is a constant draw on the battery when not being driven(it may be small, but it's still there). If you let the truck sit long enough, it will drain the battery down.

That is why after two cold winters I replaced out the stock battery with an Optima Red Top! It has way more CCA's, I sleep better on cold winter nights now, knowing when I crank up the 5.4 in the morning that it will turn over!.......
