About a month ago I began hearing a very noticeable click from inside the front area of the center console, right around the shifter. The only time you hear it is when the engine is running, the shifter is in park and you step on the brake like you are getting ready to shift out of park. Has anyone else experienced this problem and were you able to fix it? Thanks!

 

That is the interlock that prevents you from taking the vehicle out of park without the brake pedal depressed, its supposed to click. Although it shouldnt be too loud...you can feel it if you hold the shifter when you press the brake pedal.

 

I have that but I wouldn't call it loud. I would have to listen for it closely to tell. Not a problem though.

 

The EL has been out since 07 model year.
